Camp Policies
Effective: May 20, 2026
Common Ground Camp is a Christian gathering rooted in faith, creativity, and community. These policies are binding on all attendees, staff, and guests. Violation may result in removal from camp without refund and a permanent ban from future events.
Eligibility
All attendees must be 18 or older. We may verify ID at check-in.
Code of conduct
- Treat staff, campers, and the property with respect
- No harassment, discrimination, threats, or violence
- Follow staff direction at all times
Substances and weapons
- No alcohol on camp grounds
- No illegal drugs
- No weapons of any kind — firearms, knives beyond basic utility, explosives, or anything that could be used as a weapon at staff discretion
- Declare prescription medications and controlled substances at check-in
We reserve the right to search bags, vehicles, and lodging at any time.
Quiet hours
11pm to 7am.
Photography and media
Camp staff and Klarbild representatives will photograph and record throughout the event. By attending, you grant CGC and Klarbild full rights to your image, voice, and likeness as described in our Privacy Policy and Terms. You may not opt out of being recorded.
Do not photograph or record other campers without their consent. Do not publish unauthorized recordings of camp sessions, talks, or worship.
Dietary and medical needs
Disclose all allergies, dietary restrictions, and medical conditions during registration. We will try to accommodate but make no guarantees. Bring backup food, medication, and supplies for severe conditions.
Lodging
Dorm-style cabins with shared bunks, showers, and bathrooms. Bring sleeping bag or sheets, pillow, towel, and toiletries. See Heartland Retreat Center facilities.
You are responsible for your belongings. CGC and Klarbild are not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged property.
Check-in and check-out
- Check-in: 2pm on arrival day, photo ID required
- Check-out: 11am on departure day
- Late departures may incur additional charges
Emergencies
Find any staff member or dial 911. Nearest hospital: Marion, OH.
Removal
We may remove anyone from camp at our sole discretion, with or without cause, for any of the following or for any other reason we deem appropriate:
- Violation of these policies
- Behavior that endangers others
- Disrespect toward staff or campers
- Refusal to follow direction
- Disclosed or discovered information we deem disqualifying
No refund will be issued for removal. We may also ban you from future events and pursue legal remedies.
Changes
We may update these policies at any time. Continued attendance after changes constitutes acceptance.
